I love TED talks, and I especially enjoy watching them on the weekends. This is a great talk by Anne-Marie Slaughter about the importance of changing our narrative about gendered roles. Anne-Marie speaks on how we need more stay-at-home Dads and the importance of balance between looking after family and work life. The twist to her talk is that she states that we need to rethink the importance of care-giving for both male and female workers. I couldn’t agree more! We need more stay-at-home Dads and we need to start breaking down the stigma of either parent choosing to stay home to care for children or elderly parents. I do, however, think this is changing as I know several Dad’s who chip in with care-giving way more than in generations past. Enjoy the talk and keep changing the narrative!
